Regional Chamber Business Award for McMenon

McMenon Engineering is a regional winner in the British Chambers of Commerce Chamber Business Awards 2023 Game Changer (Entrepreneur of the Year) category.

The Workington company won the Game Changer award for the Northwest of England region.

McMenon CEO Anand Puthran said: “McMenon has thrived as a Game Changer and will continue to do so.

“This award from the British Chamber of Commerce is not just a recognition of our past achievements but also a motivation to continue pushing boundaries and setting new standards.

“We believe in the power of  ambition, and will continue to invest in innovation and the next generation to drive positive change.”

He went on to add: “Thank you to the British Chamber of Commerce for the honour. And a huge thanks to our Cumbria Chamber of Commerce for their support and everyone who has been a part of our journey.”

The Chamber Business Awards are one of the UK’s most prestigious business awards.

McMenon will now go through to the national finals later this year.

McMenon is unlocking new markets and pursuing its global growth ambitions.

The Cumbrian-based firm is going from strength to strength in winning nuclear contracts at Sellafield. This was then followed by the recent acquisition of a Variable Area Flowmeter product line from Europe.

The company was also successful in November’s in-Cumbria Business Awards. McMenon picked up victory in the Large Business of the Year category.

And CEO Anand Puthran also accepted the trophy for Business Person of the Year.

McMenon Engineering was also recently named in the Top 20 of in-cumbria magazine’s top 100 businesses in Cumbria.
