Welcoming Josh MacAlister MP to McMenon Engineering

In September 2025, we were delighted to welcome Josh MacAlister MP OBE, Member of Parliament for Whitehaven and Workington and Minister for Children & Families, to our headquarters in Workington.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase McMenon’s proud heritage, our highly skilled workforce, and the innovation that continues to drive our growth on a global scale. During the visit, we discussed both our recent achievements and our future ambitions, reinforcing McMenon’s role as a key local employer and a trusted UK exporter of advanced manufactured products.

Josh also shared his commitment to supporting local businesses and helping create opportunities across the region—particularly for young people—an approach that strongly aligns with our own values at McMenon.

Our discussions highlighted McMenon’s position as a UK manufacturer of precision flow and temperature instrumentation, trusted by customers in markets around the world. It was encouraging to share how investment in people, skills, and innovation continues to support both regional growth and international success.
