Project overview
McMenon supplied a range of precision differential pressure flow measurement assemblies for a chemical process plant upgrade in Paraguay. The project required reliable flow measurement across multiple process services, supporting the efficient operation of critical plant systems.
To meet the project's requirements, McMenon supplied two FPD175 Compact Orifice Carrier Assemblies and two FPD160 Orifice Flange Assemblies, in sizes ranging from 1" to 4".

The Challenge
The upgraded process plant required accurate and dependable flow measurement across a variety of applications, including gas and liquid services. Each measurement point had different operating conditions, requiring engineered solutions capable of delivering consistent performance while meeting international pressure and piping standards.
02 / McMenon's solution
McMenon's Solution
McMenon's engineered differential pressure flow measurement assemblies were supplied for the measurement of:
- Nitrogen
- Combustion air
- Cooling water
- Absorbing water
The supplied assemblies incorporated precision-machined concentric square-edged orifice plates manufactured from 316/316L stainless steel, installed within carbon steel flange assemblies designed to meet the project's pressure and installation requirements.
For gas service applications, McMenon's FPD175 Compact Orifice Carrier Assembly was selected, providing a compact solution complete with an integral three-valve manifold for simplified installation and maintenance.
For liquid service applications, FPD160 Orifice Flange Assemblies were supplied, engineered to deliver accurate, repeatable flow measurement while ensuring reliable long-term performance.
